Hextar Retail Berhad (“HRB”) (formally known as Classic Scenic Berhad) and its subsidiary companies (“HRB Group”) was listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and subsequently was transferred to the Main Board of Bursa Securities on the 6th June 2006. Our Group is principally engaged in three core business segments: Manufacturing of wooden picture frame moulding (“WPFM”) and Ready-Made-Frame, Food and Beverages (“F&B”), and Apparels.
Since 1988, we have evolved into one of Malaysia’s largest manufacturers and exporter in the industry. Today over 90% of our high-quality moulding are exported to North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Japan. Our company’s progressive growth is driven by our dedicated team and our unwavering commitment to quality.
The HRB group currently operates nine factories in Rawang and Bidor, spanning over 1,000,000 Square feet of land. In late 2023, we expanded into F&B sector to enhance our revenue streams and diversified into the apparel industry by acquiring Redina Malaysia Sdn Bhd. As we move forward, the group remains committed to a continuous improvement strategy, focusing on strengthening overall management and driving sustainable value for our stakeholders, aiming to reach even greater heights.
History
Began its venture into wooden picture frame moulding at Kepong.
First established operation in a factory measuring 75,347 sq. feet, located in Rawang Industrial Estate.
Expanded to 139,931 sq. feet by acquiring the adjoining lot in Rawang Industrial Estate.
Became first Malaysian manufacturer in this industry to be accorded the ISO 9001 status.
Built our 4th factory and our operation size grew to 301,389 sq. feet in January 2002.
Became public listed on the Second Board of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Our 5th factory was commissioned in late 2005, adding to a total combined factory size of 365, 973 sq. feet.
Our 6th factory was fully commissioned, adding to a total combined factory size of 516, 668 sq. feet.
We obtained FSC ® Chain-of-Custody certification.
Acquired 3 plots of freehold land in Ulu Yam and 1 plot of freehold land in Rawang for future business expansion and construction of warehouse and workers’ quarters.
Acquired a leasehold industrial land together with a wooden pictures frames and moulding manufacturing plant in Bidor, Perak.
Invested a total of RM 3.1 million for 1,253 KWp self-consumption (NEM) grid connected solar PV system in Rawang.
Expanded into F&B business with incorporation of new F&B outlets across Malaysia.
Acquired 20% equity interest in Redina Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a leading fashion brand distributor in Malaysia.
Classic Scenic Berhad changed its name to Hextar Retail Berhad
